Accessibility Statement

The LIFE-INOFEED consortium is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities, in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

Conformance status

This website is designed and maintained to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Conformance is based on self-assessment carried out by the project team, combining automated accessibility testing with manual review of the site’s code and content.

Measures taken

  • Text and interface colours were reviewed and adjusted so that body text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1, and icons and interface components at least 3:1.
  • Icon-only controls (search, social media links, back to top) were given accessible names, translated into each site language.
  • All contact form fields were given programmatic labels, so they are announced correctly by screen readers.
  • A main landmark was added and the heading hierarchy corrected, so people using assistive technology can navigate the page structure reliably.
  • The language switcher was made fully operable by keyboard.
  • Visible focus indicators were added for links, buttons and form fields.
  • The language of each page is declared correctly, so screen readers use the right pronunciation for English, Greek and Dutch.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations remain. We are aware of the following and are working to address them:

  • Testing with screen readers has not yet been carried out systematically. Automated tools cannot verify how content is announced in practice.
  • Reflow at 400% zoom and modified text spacing have not been formally verified on every page.
  • The certification badges in the footer are images served by external providers (the Green Web Foundation and AChecker); their accessibility is outside our control.
  • Documents published on this website may not yet be fully accessible. If you need a document in an accessible format, please contact us and we will provide it.

Languages

Key content pages are available in three languages: English (the primary language for scientific and EU-level audiences), Greek (for the Greek host facilities, farmers and the general public in Greece) and Dutch (for Inagro’s target audiences in Belgium). A language selector is available from every page, and each page declares its own language so that screen readers use the correct pronunciation.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this website. If you encounter a barrier, or need content in an alternative format, please contact us at info@life-inofeed.eu. We aim to respond within 10 working days.
